Earth Day

Earth Day at Montessori Academy is, as every year, an opportunity for many different activities. The earth is our home, so it is very important to take care of it not only on festive days, but also on a daily basis.

In addition to the traditional neighbourhood clean-up, we decorated our school greenhouse, where we now have raised beds ready to welcome 'green inhabitants'.

We made various artworks so that we can better remember the messages related to the protection of our planet. We did a lot of reading and deepened our knowledge about responsible use of the Earth's resources and environment. We reminded ourselves of the principles of waste reduction, waste segregation and learnt about reprocessing - recycling.

For another year, we maintain our flower meadow, which provides us with lots of colour, keeps us moist and provides food for many pollinators. We are collecting bottle caps and used batteries - by the way, we ask you to bring your used cells - matching the description on the collection packaging.
